SOLIDWORKS Assembly (2 days)

Syllabus
For customers whose assemblies have more than 100 parts, or who wish to use “in-context” or “top-down” assembly design approach. Covers best practices for large assembly management. Also includes topics to increase productivity of assembly modeling.

Prerequisite: SOLIDWORKS Essentials.

SOLIDWORKS Drawings (2 days)

Syllabus
For customers who have demanding 2D needs. Covers creation of special drawing view types, best practices for drawing management, customization of title blocks and bills of materials, optimization of templates for company standards and commonly reused detailing objects. eDrawings is also covered in-depth.

Prerequisite: SOLIDWORKS Essentials OR SOLIDWORKS QuickStart.

SOLIDWORKS Part Modeling (2 days)

Syllabus
For customers who have challenging part geometry, advanced shapes, industrial design, mold and die design. Covers methods for more flexible product design approach. Includes topics on surfacing and splines.

SOLIDWORKS for Pro/E Users (5 days)

For users already highly proficient in a powerful CAD system, and who need to transfer their skills to SOLIDWORKS as quickly as possible. Covers the contents of SOLIDWORKS Essentials, Advanced Part Modeling, Advanced Assembly, and Advanced Drawings at an accelerated pace. Offered to company groups only.

Prerequisite: Prior experience with Pro/E, SDRC, or similar MCAD system.

SOLIDWORKS  Surfacing (2 days)

Syllabus
For customers who require or prefer a surfaces-based approach to product design typically for ergonomic, aesthetic, or aerodynamic shapes. Covers basic and advanced surface functions, hybrid surface/solid modeling, surface modeling techniques, and working with imported solids and surfaces.

Prerequisite: SOLIDWORKS Essentials, SOLIDWORKS Part Modeling.

Teaching SOLIDWORKS in Educational Environments (2 days)

Syllabus
An in-depth class for those who are seeking to teach SOLIDWORKS fundamentals to Middle School, High School, Technical School or College/University students. The Teaching SOLIDWORKS in Educational Environments Class is best suited for instructors who have a background in engineering, technology, or drafting, although others may benefit as well. The focus is on learning what resources are available to instructors, how to organize and present the topics to different age groups, as well as prep students for Certifications. An intro to 3D Printing for Education will be included.

Prerequisite: SOLIDWORKS Essentials, Mechanical Design Experience; Experience with the Windows™ Operating System.
