SolidWorks Rx can be used to help diagnose issues with your computer, perform SolidWorks aware system maintenance, or capture and review problems.
To capture a problem for our Applications Engineers to review, follow these steps carefully:

  1. Close SolidWorks
  2. From the Windows Start menu, click on > All Programs > SolidWorks > SolidWorks Tools > SolidWorks Rx.
  3. Click on the Problem Capture tab

  1. Hit “Record Video” and SolidWorks will launch a session.

  1. When prompted, select “Start Recording”.  Make your mouse movements slow and deliberate so that they will show up in the video.  When finished hit “Finish Recording”.

  1. Select “OK” when prompted to shut down SolidWorks.

  1. If the issue is with specific SolidWorks files choose to “Add Files” otherwise skip this step.

  1. To describe the problem hit the “Continue” button:

  1. Fill out the Detail information and click “OK”.

  1. Choose to “Package Files Now” and save the .Zip file to your desktop.

  1. Browse to the .zip file location and email it to support@capinc.com
